With more than 25 years in the Child Development industry, Kimberly Barrow has used her extensive experience as a child care educator, business owner, instructional and wellness coach, and early education mentor to impact countless lives. Her diverse experience includes 15 years of operating a family child care center and working in various child care centers throughout Los Angeles county.Overcoming personal and professional challenges, Kimberly channeled her faith and leadership to create her own organization. After the loss of her mother in 2021, she was inspired to return to entrepreneurship, remolding Village Creation Interventions to inspire and empower families and children with autism and intellectual disabilities.Village Creation Interventions (VCI) is founded on the core principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion. As Kimberly often says, "Diversity is our culture, equity is for all children, and inclusion brings joy." With her guiding philosophy that "it takes a village to raise a child," Kimberly has devoted her life to uplifting families, recognizing each child's individuality beyond their diagnosis.Kimberly holds a B.A. in Sociology from California State University, Northridge, and an M.A. in Human Development, specializing in Play, Language, and Literacy from Pacific Oaks College. She is currently pursuing her M.A. in Applied Behavioral Analysis at National University.Kimberly resides in Inglewood, CA, with her husband Damiek Allah, her college sweetheart, and their two adult children, Amirah and Ashadd, of whom she's incredibly proud. She also shares her home with their beloved fur baby, Tyger, who brings joy to their everyday life.A true visionary in her field, Kimberly's mission is to forge family partnerships, cultivate sustainable environmental ecosystems, and establish meaningful community connections. When she's not busy changing lives, she enjoys dancing, socializing, and cleaning. Kimberly's favorite children's book is “Please Baby Please” by Spike Lee and his wife Tonya Lewis Lee.
